We think our digital filmmaker customers will love it!”
Featuring a large 5-inch LCD screen, a larger 6144×3456 super 35 sensor, and an EF lens mount, the latest Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro allows the owner of Pocket Cinema Camera 6K to use larger EF photographic lenses to create cinematic images with a shallower field depth that enables innovative lens blur backgrounds and beautiful bokeh effects. Additional pro features include the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, such as built-in 2, 4, and 6-stop ND filters, and customizable HDR LCD tilt with a bright 1500 nits that is suitable for use in bright sunlight. It also includes two XLR mini audio inputs and a larger battery in the NP-F570 style.
In all lighting conditions, the 13 stops of the dynamic range with dual native ISO up to 25,600 support magnificent low-noise images. The 6K models also feature a larger Super 35 sensor that enables shooting with an anamorphic lens and a shallow depth of field. All models allow clients to shoot up to 60 fps in maximum or 120 fps window resolution. Combined with Blackmagic color science, an impressive sensor means clients get the same imaging technology as the most pricey digital film cameras.

The 6K models have an EF lens mount, so customers can use lenses which is they owned already from other cameras such as DSLR, URSA Mini Pro, or even the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Customers may use commercially available photographic lenses that offer amazing artistic selection and amazing lens effects of feature film quality. Customers can change focus and iris from the buttons on the camera or touch the screen from the active lens mount.
Featuring high-quality, motorized IR ND filters, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro helps customers easily reduce the amount of light entering the camera. Crafted to match the thin layer chromatography and color science of the camera, the 2, 4, and 6-stop filters provide customers with additional latitude even under harsh lighting.
The IR filters have been designed to uniformly filter all optical and IR wavelengths, removing the images’ IR contamination. Activation buttons are located on the rear of the camera body, from the multi-function handgrip, positioned within easy reach of their thumb.
Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera uses standard open file formats without wasting your time on transcoding the media. Recording works in industry-standard 10-bit Apple ProRes files in all formats up to 4K or 12-bit Blackmagic RAW in all formats up to 6K. The media files operate on all operating systems, plus media cards and discs in HFS+ for Mac and ExFAT for Windows can be formatted by customers.

For attaching professional microphones such as lapel mics and booms, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras have a mini XLR input with 48 volts of phantom power. The 6K Pro model features 2 mini XLR connections, enabling customers, without an external mixer, to record 2 separate audio tracks using 2 mics. The four built-in mics have an exceptionally low noise floor and are resistant to shock and wind, capturing excellent sound in any place. A 3.5mm audio input for connecting video camera microphones is also available, along with a built-in playback speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 4K and 6K Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera uses removable LP-E6 style batteries, while the 6K Pro model uses larger NP-F570 batteries and can simultaneously power the camera and charge the battery with the included AC plug pack. The battery can be charged by a USB-C expansion port, so consumers can use portable battery packs, such as power banks, cell phone chargers, or laptops. The optional battery grip allows users to add additional batteries to significantly extend the camera’s power to allow users to continue shooting all day long.
