Evernote is the Editors’ Choice award-winning note-taking app in Apple‘s App Store directory. Yesterday, Evernote has been unveiled its new Home dashboard, so users can access all of their Evernote information at glance in one place. The new Home dashboard will be starting rolling out to Mac, Windows, and Evernote Web in the next week, with iOS and Android to follow.
“Home is a brand-new way to start your day in Evernote; a one-stop dashboard that puts the information you need front and center—neatly organized and instantly available—so you can stay on top of your day without feeling overwhelmed.”
The new Home dashboard gives you access to your most relevant information like your important notes, tags, and shortcuts every time when you open the Evernote app. For the Evernote Basic and Premium customers will get the three default widgets when they open the Home dashboard, take a look:
Notes: In the Notes widget, you can quickly access recent notes in the Recent tab, so you can continue your projects or writing where you left off, if you select the Suggested tab it will automatically provide the content you need, even if you haven’t open it in a while.

Scratch Pad: It is an interesting widget in Evernote. In the Scratch Pad widget, you can write anything you want before you forget it, don’t worry it will not be erased, it will leave it there forever until you erase it. Another interesting part is you can convert this Scratch Pad into a note at any time, wow!

Recent Captured: This widget shows you all the rich content you have recently captured in your Evernote account. Now you can cut the clutter and go straight to your most recent:
- Web clips
- Images
- Documents (including PDFs and Microsoft Office docs)
- Audio
- Emails

Additionally, Evernote Premium and Business customers will have to access another four following features:
Notebooks: Similar to the notes widget, you can find clarity by choosing to view either your recently used notebooks or the notebooks Evernote thinks you’ll find most relevant.

Pinned Note: You can able to pin any note in the Home dashboard, which means you don’t need to search for it every time. You can view it any time from your Home dashboard, as well as you can make some changes to your pin notes and saved them.

Tags: This widget will show your most frequently used tags in one convenient place, so it will help you to find tags in an easy way, without switching the screen.

Shortcuts: This widget shows your favorite shortcuts right from your Home dashboard. Just click on a shortcut to instantly open that note or notebook.

Oh! I almost forgot these cool things. There are other features for Evernote Premium and Business customers. They can resize, reorder, or remove widgets to customize their Home dashboard, they can also able to change the Home dashboard background image to match with their moods and fitting to their personal style. There’s are a bunch of pictures they can choose from the Evernote pre-loaded gallery, or they can upload their own one.
