Pinterest launches a new interesting AR-powered tool called “Try on” for eyeshadow which allows Pinners to use AR experience to Try on and shop beauty products within the Pinterest mobile app for iOS and Android.
You just need to click the Lens camera and browse eyeshadows, try on in-stock shades, and buy from the retailer. Pinners can also filter product results by hue and price range and brand, save to a board for later, or display a section “more like this” and see additional Pins with comparable shades and filter suggestions by their own range of skin tones. The experience will also go live in text search while looking for eyeshadow-related queries.
This AR-powered “Try on” tool can be switch between lip and eyeshadow looks with the latest lipstick by clicking on the eye or lip icon at the right. In more than 4,000 shoppable shades, the virtual eyeshadow experience can be found.
AR Try on feature available on some products from popular selected brands like Lancome, YSL, Urban Decay, and NYX Cosmetics, but Pinterest will be expanding this feature to more brands in the coming months. This feature currently available in testing, which means some advertisers and creators can use this feature early, so they can create shoppable Story Pins and tag products in the coming month.
