Telegram Launches Search Filters, Anonymous Admins, Channel Comments, and more


The latest Telegram updated with some features and brings Search Filters, Anonymous Admins to make your battle for freedom safer and Channel Comments feature to make sure everyone’s voice is heard. Update your Telegram app on the App Store or Google Play Store.

Telegram introducing Search Filters that showing results by type using the new tabs like Media, links, Files, Music, voice, and of course chats. Also, you can search for a particular time period, just type eg. August 14 or Yesterday or whatever you type. By typing the name of any person, group, channel or bot will be adding a filter by source. These Search Filters can be combined, that lets you look for something as specific as messages with a link, or sent in a year or month, or containing the word.

The Anonymous mode in Admin can enable the Batman mode, this anonymized admin will be hidden in the list of group members, and their messages in the chat will be signed with the group name, same as the channel posts.

In Channel commenting, Telegram added a comment button to posts on channels with discussion groups. The comment will show up in a cozy little thread pf their own, but it will be land in the discussion group to keep everyone in the loop and make it easier for admins to keep the conversation civil. If you’re not a member of the channel’s discussion group, you will be notified about replies to your comments via a new chat called Replies, only for a limited time.

You can enable discussion in your own channel, go to Channel Settings and select Edit from the top right corner, then select Discussion, here you can create a new Group.

And in addition to Android, you will experience new smooth animations, expanding or hiding keyboard, or switching between your day and night themes from the left menu. Also, you can see animated popups when deleting messages, changing notifications, saving media. Apart from these, you can press and hold on any profile picture in a group chat to take a closer look. If you’re using multiple accounts in the Telegram app, you can now preview the chat lists of your other accounts using the same gesture in the account switcher.
