Telegram has been introducing it’s video calls communication for Android and iOS devices, and Telegram also celebrates seven years of a journey into a secure messaging platform with over 400 million active users. Telegram launched in 2013 and began as a small app focused on secure messaging, now Telegram is one of the top 10 most downloaded apps whole world using it to stay in touch with family, friends, classmates, etc.
Users can start a video call from the contact profile page, and switch video on or off at any time during voice calls. Telegram also supports picture-in-picture mode in video calls, and it will allow you to scroll through chats and multitask while maintaining eye contact.
“All video calls are protected with end-to-end encryption. To confirm your connection, compare the four emoji shown on-screen for you and your chat partner – if they match, your call is 100% secured by time-tested encryption also used in Telegram’s Secret Chats and Voice Calls.”
Telegram also says that more features and improvements in video calls will be added in future versions. They also said that to launching group video calls in the coming months, so stay tuned for the upcoming updates.
Telegram also added couple of batch of new animated emoji in chat.
